Memorial Pieces

Made to hold the memories that matter

Some people and moments deserve a place in our homes long after they are gone.

Creative Hearts creates handcrafted memorial and remembrance pieces designed to preserve a meaningful part of someone’s story. A photograph, a handwritten note, a favourite saying, an important date, or another personal detail can be thoughtfully incorporated into a piece made especially for you.

These pieces are not intended to replace the memories you carry. They simply offer a beautiful, lasting place for those memories to live.

Created with your story in mind

Your memorial piece may begin with one of my existing designs, personalized with the details that are meaningful to you. If you have something more specific in mind, we can also discuss a more customized design.

Personalization may include:

  • Names and important dates
  • Photographs
  • Handwriting or signatures
  • Favourite sayings or meaningful words
  • Memorial flowers, symbols, or imagery
  • Celebration of life details
  • Pet names, paw prints, or photographs
  • Elements inspired by a favourite place, hobby, or memory

Whenever possible, personal details are incorporated with care while keeping the finished piece balanced, beautiful, and true to the Creative Hearts style.

A thoughtful way to remember

Memorial pieces can be created for your own home or given as a meaningful sympathy gift. They may also be designed to commemorate an anniversary, honour a beloved pet, preserve a family recipe, or remember someone through the things they loved most.

Every piece is handmade from start to finish. Wood is cut, layered, painted, and assembled individually, creating a keepsake that feels personal rather than mass-produced.

How the process works

1. Share your idea

Tell me a little about the person, pet, memory, or story you would like the piece to honour. You do not need to arrive with a complete design in mind.

2. Choose a starting point

We can personalize an existing Creative Hearts design or discuss a more customized piece based on your vision.

3. Provide the meaningful details

You may be asked to submit photographs, handwriting, wording, dates, colours, or other elements needed for the design.

4. Review and approve

A digital design proof will be provided before your piece is created. This gives you an opportunity to confirm names, dates, spelling, placement, and overall design.

5. Your piece is handcrafted

Once approved, your keepsake will be carefully created and prepared for pickup or shipping.

A note about photographs and handwriting

Clear, high-resolution photographs and scans produce the best results. Original items are not required—quality digital images are usually all that is needed.

Please do not alter, crop, or filter photographs before sending them unless requested. If you are unsure whether an image will work, send what you have and I will let you know what may be possible.

Timing and pricing

Pricing is based on the size, materials, number of layers, and complexity of the design. Personalizing an existing design will generally cost less than developing a highly customized piece.

Because each order is created individually, timelines may vary. If your piece is needed for a funeral, celebration of life, anniversary, or another specific date, please include that information when submitting your request. Rush availability cannot be guaranteed, but I will always be honest about what is possible.

Begin your memorial piece

You do not need to know exactly what you want before reaching out. Share the memory you would like to preserve, any details you hope to include, and the date you may need it by. From there, we can explore what your remembrance piece could become.

Tell me about the memory you would like to honour.
